The Headscarf

As an artist and creator of this sculpture, I am proud to present it to you. This piece is a part of my being, created in the modern world with the idea of human freedom from compulsory beliefs. The hijab, without a face or head, gradually transforms into hair flowing freely in the wind. The hijab symbolizes mandatory veiling, and the free-flowing hair represents freedom, creating a contrast in this piece that depicts the joy of overcoming continuous compulsion. The joy of freedom! You see intertwined and confusing shapes in a unified system, representing the evolutionary rhythm of the beginning of change, growth, and flourishing. Rusty steel symbolizes the difficulty of dismantling the obsolete and corrupt thoughts imposed on women.
