Shabaak

Description

Shabak is a kind of lattice window which allows light into inner spaces. It creates visual manifestations of light and, at the same time, limits visibility. This form of architectural decoration is common in Indo-Islamic architecture and, more generally, in Islamic architecture. This art piece is woven and prepared inspired by the architecture of Shabaak window.
