Building the Khornak Palace

This abstract artwork, created in 2021, showcases a vibrant and dynamic interplay of colors, masterfully applied using mixed media techniques on canvas. The piece measures 60 x 80 cm, allowing for a significant visual impact. Titled "My Abstraction of Kamāl al-Molk Behzād's Creating the Khornegh Palace," this work draws inspiration from the renowned Persian artist Kamāl al-Molk Behzād, particularly his celebrated piece depicting the construction of the Khornak Palace. In this abstraction, I aimed to reinterpret the essence of Behzād’s original artwork while infusing it with contemporary elements. The use of mixed media not only enhances the texture and depth of the composition but also allows for a more expressive exploration of color and form. The vibrant hues and bold strokes reflect my personal interpretation and emotional response to the historical narrative, inviting viewers to engage with both the past and the present in a unique dialogue. This piece stands as a homage to the rich legacy of Persian art, while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of traditional representation.
