In this artwork, I present a visual ode to the fearless, skilled, hardworking, and resilient women whose strength is often overshadowed by a patriarchal society. Embodying these figures as a lioness, I capture the essence of mothers and grandmothers whose inherent leadership and capabilities remain unacknowledged. The integration of a mane (a symbol traditionally associated with masculinity) combined with red lipstick and painted nails speaks to a transcendent view of power that surpasses gender. Through vibrant greens, warm earthy tones, and expressive red highlights, this piece challenges conventional notions of strength, celebrating a fusion of femininity and authority that defies societal constraints.
