The Green Hunting Scene Carpet The designing of the Green Hunting Scene carpet is taken from hunting motifs and has been inspired by artistic principles and foundations. In this pattern, the animals are within the frenzy of hunting and saving their lives, that is the end of all beings is mortal and perishable. This carpet is designed as a Persian Chaharbagh (garden as an earthly reflection of the paradise) of Achaemenid period wherein kings were hunting. The medallion of this work, which is an image of the sun and the pool of light, is a symbol of protection and achieving excellence with birds fluttering their wings to protect their chicks from the Satan within the garden. The Green Hunting Scene carpet in dimensions of 170 by 113 with yarn warp has been produced using natural materials such as wool and cotton. The weaving time of this unique work of art was 6 months and its embossing (relief work) lasted 6 months. The dyeing of this work is vegetal and natural and its embossing (relief work) is done in accordance with the principles of perspective and body anatomy of animals, which is one of the magnificent works of Malfouzi.
