Biography

Master Marjan Esfandi Milajerdi is a distinguished Iranian artist with over 25 years of experience in Tazhib (Persian illumination) and Miniature painting. She holds a first-degree certificate (the highest rank) from the Iranian Society of Miniature, is a recognized innovator in her field, and serves as the Director of the Mehraban Art Group. Additionally, she is an accomplished Nastaliq calligrapher of the highest degree, as well as a curator.

She honed her skills in calligraphy under the guidance of Master Ahmad Pilehchi Qazvini, Master Younes Khanlarzadeh, and Master Hadi Seydkhani, and studied Persian painting (Negargari) with Master Ardashir Mojarrad Takestani, Master Abdollah Mahrami, and Master Behnam Sharifi. She further specialized in Tazhib under the mentorship of Master Alireza Ghezi.

Over the course of her career, Master Esfandi Milajerdi has participated in hundreds of national and international festivals, exhibitions, and workshops, and has held four solo exhibitions. Her accolades include multiple first-place awards and honorable mentions in various art festivals, as well as recognition as a “Star Artist” at the Paintbrush Art Festival in the United Arab Emirates. She was also honored as a Distinguished Teacher during the Third Kharazmi Festival.

She holds a Certificate of Artistic Consultation for Sports Elites (W.O.S.E) from Dr. Hamidreza Moghadam, President of the World Organization of Sports Elites. Her name and official teaching ID are listed in the 1399 (2020–2021) edition of the Sina Integrated Education System. Master Esfandi Milajerdi also maintains a workshop license from the Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization and holds the “Foq-e Momtaz” (highest-level) certificate from the Iranian Calligraphers Association.

Master Esfandi Milajerdi’s works have been featured in Volume 2 of Contemporary Women Calligraphers and in the book _Art and Artists of the UAE, published by Pitting Brush and available on Amazon (https://dcom-uae.com/flip/art-artisan/ )  She has conducted interviews with various television networks, including Quran TV, the “Dast Dar Dast” program on Channel 2, and Jame Jam network. Among her notable design projects is the logo and trophy for the Salavat Calligraffiti Festival.

In addition to her artistic endeavors, Master Esfandi Milajerdi serves as an art instructor at public and private schools, municipal training centers, and in her personal gallery, continuing to nurture the next generation of Iranian artists.
