A Glimpse into the Life of the Late Artist Seyed Mohammad Bathaei

• Birth and Early Life: Born in 1954 in the Ganjineh Ketab neighborhood of Hashtroud's central district, Bathaei grew up in a family known for its virtue and religious devotion. From a young age, he fostered a close relationship with the Holy Quran, and his artistic talent, especially in painting and illumination, became evident early on.

• Education and Career: Bathaei completed his primary education in Hashtroud and continued his studies in Tabriz, where he earned his high school diploma. In 1975, he began working in the education sector of Hashtroud. Throughout his career, he was active in various artistic fields, including painting, design, writing, directing, and acting. He achieved national recognition, winning first place in playwriting and theater directing.

• Artistic Achievements: Bathaei was a prolific artist who held numerous exhibitions in Tabriz and Tehran, including at prominent venues like Niavaran Cultural Center, Khavaran Cultural Center, Bahman Cultural Center, Shahid Beheshti University, House of Culture, Mani Art Gallery, Maqbaratoshoara, and more, totaling 71 exhibitions. He also held joint exhibitions with Master Mahmoud Zanganeh and at Zahhak Castle. Bathaei received commendations from the President of Iran and the head of the Islamic City Council of Tabriz.

• Teaching and Mentorship: Bathaei dedicated 40 years to teaching art, nurturing many outstanding students. His legacy extends to his own children, who have pursued careers in painting, calligraphy, illumination, acting, and music. He was honored by the East Azerbaijan Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance in 2015 and named a model retired employee of East Azerbaijan Province in 2017. In 2022, a collection of his plays titled "Doman" was published by Hakim Nezami Publications.
