Alireza Rouki

Biography

Designer and Painter - Painting Instructor Born in 1973 Manager and Founder of Rouki Painting School and Atelier (Teaching oil painting using scientific and practical methods with proper principles and professional techniques)

As a child, on the way to elementary school, they were captivated by the richly decorated storytelling curtains and later by the cinema billboards, which sparked their interest in painting. Recognizing their talent among peers, they became more serious about art through interactions with other painters at exhibitions and art gatherings. During high school, they practiced principled design, ink wash painting, and watercolor, eventually developing an interest in oil painting techniques by studying works and books of great painters worldwide.

In 1995, while attending the Biennial Painting Exhibition, they met professional artists and teachers in Tehran. For four years, they studied the fundamental and proper techniques of oil painting under experienced instructors at the Realist Painters' Workshop, enhancing their artistic and intellectual growth through various artistic articles and materials.

Afterwards, they professionally created paintings in the realism and impressionism styles. In 2004, they returned to Nishapur, focusing on creating conceptual paintings, commissions, and teaching art in solitude away from social commotion, a practice that continues to this day.

Having produced over one hundred original paintings, including conceptual works, nature series, social subjects, and portraits of literary, mystical, and contemporary figures, their extensive experience is evident. Their main themes and recent intellectual concerns revolve around humanity, life, and mystical themes. They have held 20 solo exhibitions and participated in over 30 group exhibitions.
