Seyed Gholamreza Esmaeilzadeh
Seyed Gholamreza Esmaeilzadeh was born in Tehran in 1344 (1965). His passion for painting began during his adolescence, leading him to enroll in the School of Visual Arts in 1361 (1982). He secured the top rank in the highly competitive entrance exam, both theoretical and practical, and graduated with honors after four years of dedicated study under renowned Iranian painting and drawing masters.
In the same year, Esmaeilzadeh joined Franklin Publishing (Scientific and Cultural Publications) as a senior graphic designer. Over two years, he made significant contributions in illustration, cover design, page layout, and poster design, leaving a lasting impact on this esteemed publishing house.
Entering the second phase of his artistic career, Esmaeilzadeh established his personal atelier and continued his work in the Realist and Hyperrealist schools. His relentless passion led to numerous exhibitions across Iran and internationally in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Austria, the United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, and Turkey. He earned top ranks in several national and international competitions and received commendation plaques during consecutive biennial periods. Additionally, he created mural paintings for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran.
In 1392 (2013), Esmaeilzadeh was honored with the First Degree Art of Iran award, equivalent to a doctorate, making him the only artist to receive the endorsement of the esteemed master artist Mahmoud Farshchian —a distinction he proudly holds.
Esmaeilzadeh has also contributed to art education by teaching at various art universities in Iran. In 1383 (2004), he authored the first painting book titled "Amuzesh Naghashi Irani Negargari" and published "101 Tarh" through Yasavoli Art Publications in Tehran. His works have been reproduced as posters and postcards in multiple editions.
His most notable works include illustrations for classical Persian poets' books such as "Hafez Shirazi", "Shahnameh", "Ferdowsi", and "Manejatnameh Khajeh Abdollah Ansari", which have been exquisitely published. Other significant pieces include "Mashgh-e Eshgh" and "Badeh-ye Nab". His valuable artworks are part of museum collections outside Iran, and since 1375 (1996), his piece "Taslim-e Haq" has been housed in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran.
Currently, Esmaeilzadeh continues to operate his personal atelier, fulfilling artistic commissions and designing decorative paintings across various Iranian and international artistic schools for residential, commercial, and administrative projects both within Iran and abroad. Notable projects include the conference halls and the Abbas Hotel in Isfahan.
