Hamid Hemayatian

Biography
  • Hamid Hemayatian, born in December 1984 in Yazd, Iran, is a distinguished member of the Tehran Stuckism group. He holds a diploma in Graphics from Yazd and a bachelor's degree in Painting from the University of Arts in Tehran, obtained in 2009. Hemayatian has been an active participant in the art community, both nationally and internationally.

  • Throughout his career, Hemayatian has participated in numerous exhibitions. He has collaborated with the Tehran Stuckists at the Tehran Artists' House in 2010 and held a joint exhibition with Stuckists from Iran, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and other countries in London in 2011. He was also part of the "1 Worlds" exhibition curated by Edward Lucie-Smith in Lithuania in 2011. In 2010, he participated in exhibitions alongside Majid Biglari and Ebrahim Eskandari at Aran Gallery in Tehran. Notably, he was the joint first-place winner at the first Gulf Regional Festival in 2012, and in 2012, he exhibited with Iranian and Turkish Stuckists at Gallery D in Tehran.

  • Hamid has also been involved in various other group exhibitions such as "A Few Scenes from Paradise" at Abtin Gallery, Tehran, in 2013, and "Angels, Saints, and Partners" at Aran Project Galleries in November 2014. He held a solo exhibition at Aran Gallery, Tehran, in 2013 and showcased his work at Rojan Gallery, Yazd, in 2012 under the title "Happy with Markar’s Good Deeds", and again with Mohammad Bahabadi in 2012.

  • His participation extends to other group exhibitions with visual artists from Yazd commemorating Markar, showcasing the depth and diversity of his artistic engagements. Hemayatian’s work continuously reflects his deep connection with his cultural roots and his exploration of new artistic expressions.
