Jury Award

This painting represents the survival and biological interdependence of creatures in the sacred symbol of the egg of
life with its seven equal circles. In the middle circle, there exists a lotus shining like the sun standing for survival,
fertility, and immortality surrounded by Ouroboros, an ancient symbol depicting a dragon eating its own tail represented
in the form of yin and yang to describe how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary,
interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world. Then, the water life and the biological and nutritional
dependency of sea animals is represented beginning from prokaryotes and evolving to mammals. The life of land
animals pictured in the IUCN symbol begins from fugs and plants. Hunter animals have symbolically their hunting tails
in their mouths. The other six circles overlapping each other as well as the middle one, show the evolution of human
beings starting from apes, to caveman, fetus life, education and perception, industrial and modern life with substantial
need to water, food, and medication. Living on other planets may also need to survive. Four green spectrums with an
