Biography

Niala Faez is a self-taught Iranian painter who began her artistic journey at a young age under the guidance of her architect father. Despite being expelled from university due to religious beliefs, she pursued painting education independently, later attending renowned institutions such as Jahad University and Tehran Technical Complex, and studying under masters like Aydin Aghdashloo and Bani Asadi. Her work spans both painting and teaching, reflecting her passion for using art as a medium to teach fundamental human values to children.

Niala's artwork consists of two major collections:

1. The Poppy Collection: Symbolic and conceptual paintings featuring poppies.

2. The Chronicles Collection: Paintings inspired by social events from the Iranian Revolution of 1979 to the present, illustrating the experiences of the Bahá'í religious minority in Iran.

In 2017, she launched the Niyala brand of handcrafted postcards, embellished with Persian calligraphy. These were exhibited in Iran and exported to Turkey and the United States.
